and another week flies by
alright, i know it’s not over yet, but it will be in a few short hours.
i got a lot done this week, but i never feel like it’s enough.
tumblr is awesome. but i do not know what i did with all the extra time i had before i became addicted. it’s true. tumblr is now the first site i check in the morning (after my email). is that weird?
today, we worked on what i have dubbed as my “epic indie pop song.” i say this with an extreme amount of tongue in my cheek, because i don’t necessarily think it’s going to go down in history as being the greatest song ever written, nor am i being extremely trendy-indie about it, but i did sit down and write it with the intention of having something that could end up in the background of an ipod commercial, were an employee of theirs magically ask me if i happened to have one of those laying around. it’s an experiment. musically, i just had fun. there was no chordal complexity, no sorrowful lyrics, no over-thinking, really. well, maybe a little. we spent a long time coming up with a part for the glockenspiel, as well as a little electric. but anyway…i digress. i’m anxious to get some feedback.
in the next week or so, i’ll be picking the “single” to release to various blogs as a free download….maybe i’ll upload a few to tumblrs to see what everyone likes the most.
le sigh. i just wanted to post because i hadn’t all day, and i didn’t take any photos or anything, so i had to settle on words.
