You actually visit visit the physical “blog” of someone who is on Tumblr (since most tumblrs just reside in their dashboads and rarely even visit other tumblrs’ sites except to comment). Upon visiting a friend’s ‘tumblog,’ you wonder each post says “via _____” and is indented so many times… You find yourself googling  “GPOYW” and “SNPD” to find out what they mean. You wonder why somebody named “stupidinboston” repeatedly blogs pictures of his food. Pretty much all the content on each tumblr you visit feels like one big inside joke.
